First Choice is one of the premier builders in the Augusta market. The details and finishes they put in their homes are second to none. The detail and professionalism in their work really sets them apart from the competition. I would highly recommend First Choice Homebuilders to anyone looking to purchase a home in the Augusta area.

Our home was built by First Choice Home Builders in Riverwood plantation, and it is by far the lowest quality home we have ever lived in. While there are several issues, the main issue is a severely undersized a/c heat pump unit placed in our home that can neither cool the home in the summer nor heat in the winter. There are two 1.5 ton units in our 3200 square foot home. 1.5 ton units are rated for 600-900 square feet, which is effectively, half the size our home needs. I contacted First Choice Home Builders, and one of the owners, Jeremy Weathersbee came to our home in response to some of my complaints with the poor quality of the building. He initially said he would replace the defective window, and replace the defective electrical, but stated that the 1.5 ton a/c units are compatible for a 3200 square foot home. I showed him literature online showing that a 1.5 ton unit in our zone is rated for 600-900 square feet. He said that was "an opinion". I told him that the fact is our home is freezing in the winter, and hot in the summer. I called the county inspector to verify Mr. Weathersbee's statement, and the inspector stated that "No. 1.5 tons is not sufficient for your square footage. I questioned those small units several years ago, but they provided me with documentation stating they were appropriate." He asked me who the builder was and for Mr. Weathersbee's name. He called Mr. Weathersbee, and Mr. Weathersbee stated he was upset with me and told me that he no longer would be switching out our defecting window or repairing the faulty electric, and of course, would not be doing anything with the HVAC. BEWARE of First Choice Home Builders, they'll cut corners at the customers expense. Several of my neighbors have stated that they have had issues with their walls buckling, roof issues, and of course the HVAC issues we have.
